Stay Plugged In Launches FORMULA STEM Esports Cup, presented by Brightspeed Fiber Internet

CHARLOTTE, N.C.January 15, 2025 — Stay Plugged In, the leading college recruiting platform for gamers, and Brightspeed, one of the nation’s largest fiber broadband builders, today announced the FORMULA STEM Esports Cup, presented by Brightspeed Fiber Internet, an EA Sports F1 24 based competition introducing students to careers in STEM fields through the eyes of a race car driver while competing to win scholarships and prizes. Participants also gain free access to the industry leading Stay Plugged In college recruiting platform, where they connect with colleges and review scholarship opportunities. The eight- week series of events begins March 25, 2025.

Participating students start with a Drivers Meeting on March 20th in the Stay Plugged In Discord server. A pre-season test on March 25th will be followed by six weeks of competition that will qualify 40 drivers into the championship event. The top three championship finishers will receive $4,000 in scholarships. There are additional scholarships and prizes awarded during each weekly event.
