Road to Radiant Recap

Road to Radiant Recap

Stay Plugged In hosts an online Valorant tournament, called Road to Radiant, each week on Wednesday evenings. The tournament, which is an effort to provide our community with more opportunities to level up their gaming skills in real competitions, has seen an increasing turnout of players since kicking off in January 2022. The most recent competition was round robin style, where the three competing teams could only claim victory if they won against the other two competitors. With the stage set for fast-paced action, team UwU Kittens kicked off the night with a close win over Oasis High with a final score of 13-9. The game featured player WAVES, of the UwU Kittens, top fragging in an impressive 24 -13 fashion. In the following match, the kittens faced off against team Monkes, carrying with them the momentum from their first win to dominate the second game and crush their opponent with a 13-4 final score. Monke’s Dliawa fought hard to carry their team, but it wouldn’t be enough to overcome the all-around strength of the UwU Kittens.

“This experience has opened my eyes to the semi-pro scene in Valorant. It has not only opened my eyes to the potential of myself, my friends, and Valorant as a whole,” commented Smrty, team captain of the UwU Kittens. “I'm so happy to be a part of Road to Radiant; the community and the connections I've made are some of the best ever. I can't wait to continue to play in these weekly tournaments with my friends, making some cash on top of having a great time.”

With 2 victories in 2 matches, the other teams were mathematically eliminated and the need for a 3rd and final match vanished. Congratulations to the UwU Kittens team members - Smrty, Sporty, Yeetnatic, WAVES, and Plex - on claiming their second Road to Radiant championship since the tournament kicked off!

Road to Radiant continues every week and players of all skill levels are encouraged to compete! This is a great opportunity for gamers to hone their Valorant skills while getting to experience real competition with a prize pool. Registration is free and teams can sign up here.
