<p class="text-italic">Registration for this event ends at midnight (EST), the night before the tournament begins!</p>

<p class="text-500">Approximately how long is the tournament going to last?</p>
<p class="text-italic">Tournament size is dependent on the number of teams that register, and the bracket will finish the night it begins.</p>

<p class="text-500">How do I make sure my teammates get included on my team for the event?</p>
<p class="text-italic">You will be prompted to indicate your teammates upon registration. Roster changes occurring after registration must be reported. Message the assigned admin in the SPIN Discord server.</p>

<p class="text-500">If I don’t have a team, can I register as a free agent?</p>
<p class="text-italic">Yes. Make sure you click on the “Individual Ticket” option when registering. Event admins will place you on a team with places of equal or similar rank. </p>

<h3>REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS</h3>
<ul>
    <li>All players register as an individual using their StayPluggedIn.gg account</li>
    <li>Player registration is open only to players 18 years or under, or any individual pursuing graduate school, a transfer of colleges, or a return to college upon request and approval of a Stay Plugged In full-time staff member</li>
    <li>All publisher rules and guidelines regarding community tournament registration apply. If a player is suspected to have broken ANY publisher or Stay Plugged In rules including but not limited to age restrictions, tournament play, code of conduct, etc., Stay Plugged In reserves the right to withhold any rewards or prizing, monetary or not, until an investigation is held. If the suspected party is found guilty, Stay Plugged In will withhold the above assets indefinitely.</li>
    <li>If a player would like to play with a full team or with a partial team, please register for a Team Pass on StayPluggedIn.gg</li>
    <li>If a player signs up solo, Stay Plugged In admins will place that player on a team of equal or similar rank</li>

<h2 style="text-align: center;">SECTION 1: MATCH PLAY AND FORMAT</h2>
<h3>BRACKET SEEDING</h3>
<ul>
    <li>Teams will be seeded for the Bracket using the following criteria:</li>
        <ul>
            <li>Number of appearances in RLCS Official Events</li>
            <li>Highest average rank of the top 3 players on the roster</li>
            <li>If the number of registered teams exceeds the maximum number of teams per bracket, an extra pool will be created</li>
            <li>The tournament organizer will take the full list of seeded teams and place them in order across all pools, one by one
                <ul>
                    <li>Example - #1 overall seed will be Pool A, Seed 1, the #2 overall seed will be Pool B, Seed 1, and so on</li>
                </ul>
            </li>
        </ul>
</ul>

<h3>BRACKET FORMAT</h3>
<ul>
    <li>Double Elimination bracket</li>
    <li>Upper Bracket matches until the Semi-Finals are a Best-of-3</li>
    <li>Upper Semi-Finals and Finals are a Best-of-5</li>
    <li>Lower Bracket matches through the Quarter-Finals are a Best-of-1</li>
    <li>Lower Semi-Finals is a Best-of-3</li>
    <li>Lower Finals is a Best-of-5</li>
    <li>Grand Finals is a Best-of-7 with a one game advantage for the team advancing through the Upper Bracket</li>

<h2 style="text-align: center;">SECTION 2: MATCH PROCEDURES</h2>
<h3>MATCH REPORTING</h3>
<ul>
    <li>After the matches are played, winning team captains will be required to post screenshots of their match results in the appropriate discord channel.
        <ul>
            <li>Winning teams not posting their results in the appropriate place will result in their round differential not being recorded. This information is used for tiebreaking which could negatively affect team placement</li>
        </ul>
    </li>
    <li>Please also post the scoreline of the game directly after the screenshot. Example: ‘Cavaliers 3 - Warriors 2’</li>
</ul>

<h3>GAME MODE AND RULES</h3>
<ul>
    <li>The team listed on the left side or on top of the matchup on the Bracket Host Site is considered Team 1, the other is Team 2</li>
    <li>Teams with less than 3 players will NOT be able to play. Any team that shows up to a match within 10 minutes of the scheduled match time with less than 3 players will be disqualified from their match</li>
    <li>Lobby Creation
        <ul>
            <li>Team 1 will create the lobby and invite Team 2 to it</li>
            <li>If a match up is hosted on stream an event observer will contact both teams through Smash.gg chat and join the lobby to broadcast the game.
                <ul>
                    <li>Be sure the match does not start until you have been instructed by the observer</li>
                </ul>
            </li>
        </ul>
    </li>
    <li>Lobby Settings
        <ul>
            <li>Maps permitted - DFH Stadium, Urban Central, Beckwith Park, Utopia Coliseum, Mannfield, Neo Tokyo, Aquadome, Wasteland, Champions Field</li>
            <li>No Mutators</li>
            <li>No Bots</li>
        </ul>
    </li>
</ul>

<h3>OBSERVERS & COACHES</h3>
<ul>
    <li>Only the 6 players who are actively playing and event admin staff or any staff approved by the Stay Plugged In organization will be allowed in the game lobby</li>
    <li>Other players or coaches of a team may not join a lobby
        <ul>
            <li>Players are permitted to share their live gameplay footage with their coach in real-time</li>
        </ul>
    </li>
</ul>

<h3>CONNECTIVITY/PING ISSUES & PLAYER DROPS</h3>
<ul>
    <li>If a player reports ping or drops due to connectivity issues within the first 30 seconds, the match can be restarted at the request of the team needing to reset as long as no goals have been scored</li>
    <li>Any reported ping or drops due to connectivity issues after that time will result in the continuation of gameplay until it’s completion and results will be counted</li>
    <li>If a player drops due to connectivity issues, the team can continue play with the amount of players still remaining in the lobby</li>
    <li>If a player drops due to connectivity issues and is able to reconnect while the match is still active, they are permitted to do so</li>
</ul>

<h2 style="text-align: center;">SECTION 3: TEAM ROSTERS</h2>

<h3>TEAM SIZE AND STAND-INS</h3>
<ul>
    <li>Full rosters will consist of 3 players unless there exists an uneven number of players. Teams will have no less than three (3) and no more than four (4) players</li>
    <li>Each team will start 3 players and may have 1 additional players on their “bench” to sub in if needed</li>
    <li>Substitute Solo Players can be moved to new teams to cover for no shows</li>
    <li>Teams participating in the Bracket may not add to their roster any player not listed on their roster reported before the start of the tournament</li>
    <li>All teams will assign their own captain!
        <ul>
            <li>Captain will be responsible for the duties below.</li>
        </ul>
    </li>
</ul>

<h3>TEAM CAPTAINS</h3>
<ul>
    <li>Teams will designate their own captain by messaging an event admin their team name, and chosen captain.</li>
    <li>Captains are responsible for the following:
        <ul>
            <li>Captains, please ensure all players are present and in your designated voice chat 30 minutes before the event begins</li>
            <li>Checking their team in to every match</li>
            <li>Posting Screenshot results in the #rl-match-screenshots-and-results channel.</li>
        </ul>
    </li>
</ul>

<h2 style="text-align: center;">SECTION 4: MATCH OBLIGATIONS</h2>
<h3>PUNCTUALITY</h3>
<ul>
    <li>All Players must be in an online party and prepared to join the match by match start time</li>
</ul>

<h3>COMMUNICATIONS</h3>
<ul>
    <li>Once a Match has officially begun, communication with anyone not designated as playing within the current Match is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate disqualification of the Player(s) or Team.</li>
    <li>Teams will not be allowed tactical timeouts due to time restraints.</li>
    <li>If an admin is needed please message a Stay Plugged In admin, listed in the Stay Plugged In Academy Server</li>
</ul>

<h2 style="text-align: center;">SECTION 5: MATCH DISRUPTIONS/DISPUTES</h2>
<h3>MATCH DISPUTES</h3>
<ul>
    <li>All disputes relating to a match will be handled on a case-by-case basis. </li>
    <li>Reach out to a Stay Plugged In Admin via personal discord message if the dispute that needs to be resolved is time sensitive. Event admins can be found in the Stay Plugged In Server</li>
</ul>

<h3>DISPUTE EVIDENCE</h3>
<ul>
    <li>Be prepared to provide a screenshot or video evidence of the dispute to guarantee a timely and accurate decision</li>
</ul>

<h3>POWER OF ADMIN</h3>
<ul>
    <li>The lead Stay Plugged In administrator will have the sole discretion to make final decisions based on the rules outlined in this document</li>
</ul>

<h3>CHEATING, GLITCHES, ALTERNATIVE ACCOUNTS</h3>
<ul>
    <li>Any cheating, as determined by the Tournament Organizers in their sole discretion, will result in immediate disqualification and additional penalties depending on the severity of the infraction</li>
    <li>In the event of a glitch occurring, the protesting player must submit video evidence of the glitch. Stay Plugged In reserves the right to use their discretion on how to enforce any glitch that occurs</li>
    <li>Players must compete on the accounts they have signed up with. If a player shows up to a lobby with an (Epic / Riot / Battle.net / other) ID that is not on the roster, notify an admin immediately. Showing up to a game with an ID not listed on the roster may result in a forfeit. If a player has made any changes to their ID notify a Stay Plugged In admin so they can update accordingly</li>
</ul>

<h3>PERSONAL STREAMING</h3>
<ul>
    <li>All players are welcome to stream their perspective of the event to their personal channels!</li>
    <li>Stay Plugged IN admins suggest to use a 5 minute delay when streaming matches so that opponents cannot gain any competitive advantage</li>
    <li>If it is determined that a competitive advantage was gained by using an opponent's personal stream to determine opponent positioning or by any other means, we can not and will not hold the accused party guilty for doing so. Choosing to stream is at one’s own discretion</li>
</ul>

<h2 style="text-align: center;">SECTION 6: CODE OF CONDUCT</h2>
<h3>STAY PLUGGED IN CODE OF CONDUCT</h3>
<p>All Players are expected to exhibit good sportsmanship and maintain respect for one another and for all Tournament Organizers and spectators. Players must follow all instructions of the Tournament Organizers. Players are expected to play at their best at all times within the Tournament and to avoid any behavior inconsistent with the principles of good sportsmanship, honesty, or fair play.. Any Player behaving inappropriately, or not competing in compliance with these Official Rules (including the Game Play Rules), as determined by the Tournament Organizers in their sole discretion, may be immediately disqualified from the Tournament and forfeit all potential prizes. Further, the Tournament Organizers reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to ban disqualified Players from any future tournament or event organized by Tournament Organizers, if deemed necessary.</p>

<h3>PENALTIES BY OFFENSE</h3>
<ul>
    <li>No Show to a match
        <ul>
            <li>First Offense - Match forfeiture & verbal warning</li>
            <li>Second Offense - Disqualification & low priority in player matchmaking if applicable</li>
            <li>Third Offense - Kicked from the server</li>
        </ul>
    </li>
    <li>Cheating
        <ul>
            <li>Any player caught cheating where the instance has been deemed indisputable by a Stay Plugged In admin will be banned from any future Stay Plugged IN events
            </li>
        </ul>
    </li>
    <li>Offensive or Inappropriate In-Game Name
        <ul>
            <li>Player must change their name in order to proceed in the tournament</li>
            <li>Failure to change an in-game name despite request to do so by lead administrator will result in disqualification, being blacklisted, & low priority in player matchmaking for the next event</li>
            <li>A second Offense in regards to the previous rule (b) will result in a ban from the server and all future events</li>
        </ul>
    </li>
</ul>

<h3>PLAYER RELEASE</h3>
<p>By participating in the Tournament, each Player hereby irrevocably grants the Tournament Entities and each of their respective licensees, successors and assigns, permission to stream, film, photograph and record the Player’s performance in the Tournament itself and in other Tournament-related activities, including the Player’s name, User Name, Team name and logo, avatar, gamertag or equivalent, voice, statements, likeness and other personal characteristics, information and so-called publicity rights as they appear therein (collectively, the “Appearance”) and the right, but not the obligation, to distribute, exploit or otherwise use such Appearance, in whole or in part, in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, throughout the Universe in perpetuity for any purpose, including but not limited to, to advertise, market and promote the Tournament, the Tournament Website, the Title Game, the Tournament Entities and future tournaments.</p>
