Biography

The Lackawanna College Esports Program is a varsity athletic program created in 2018. We offer scholarships to those that excel in the classroom as well as in their game of choice. We currently field teams for Overwatch, Rocket League, League of Legends, Valorant, Fortnite and Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Contact Robert Dee for more information! Esports@lackawanna.edu The college's esports program has earned two national championships and competed in multiple national championships, demonstrating its ability to compete and succeed at the highest level against major universities and other two-year schools. Lackawanna College competes in various prestigious leagues and competitions, including NACE and NJCAAE, providing its players with valuable opportunities to showcase their skills and talents. To support its esports teams, Lackawanna College has established a state-of-the-art esports arena located on the Scranton campus. This arena is equipped with top-notch gaming infrastructure, featuring 30 Lenovo Legion PCs and gaming chairs at each desk. Our Esports arena also included analyst/broadcaster PC/booth providing an immersive and professional gaming environment for the players. Additionally, the Scranton campus boast a 1000+ seat historic theater recently renovated for in person esports events.
